K–8 Curriculum

Exceptional Curriculum

Students in grades K–8 study four core subjects—language arts, math, science, and history—plus music and art. Music can be substituted with a world language beginning in third grade.

Our individualized approach means your child can go as fast or slow as he or she needs to master a subject. Learning Coaches and students organize their schedules around live, teacher-led online lessons, called ClassConnect sessions. Hands-on materials—such as storybooks, science kits, math manipulatives, and more—complement most courses.

Teacher Support and Instruction

Each student is assigned a “homeroom” teacher who establishes the child's Individualized Learning Plan and oversees the instructional experience for every subject. The Learning Coach (a parent or other responsible adult), works side-by-side with your child to facilitate progress through the daily lessons. The child does coursework in the Online School with the Learning Coach's active participation to ensure the process works as planned.
